Stages of my Magazine Advert

Here are the different stages I went through in order to create my final magazine advert. I began by searching through all our images, and aimed to choose a picture which stood out and grabs your attention.  I liked this picture the most because I feel that her pose shows her confidence - it's also quite girly and fun. I spent a lot of time thinking about the positioning of everything, as I was worried about making it look unstructured. However in the end, I'm really proud with my choice of positioning. In the second and third picture I decided to add my chosen record label and a label stating that it's 'Available on iTunes', which I believe made it more modern and professional looking. In terms of effects I thought it would be best to use and outer glow for my artist image as well as the headings because it really made the words and colours stand out and made it appear more vibrant. I also added a five star rating, alongside a quote provided by 'MTV', which is a basic cable and satellite television channel popular among teenagers. I believe that adding the trademark lipstick stain keeps to the theme of fun and girly, and it also corresponds with my digipak as the lipstick stain is a recurring theme.

I aimed to follow a girly and vibrant colour scheme in my magazine advert, which corresponded with the colours in my digipak. Yellow and Pink felt like the appropriate colours to communicate youth and optimism.
