Filming Evaluation

  • How did filming go?
Overall I found filming to be an enjoyable yet stressful experience. It was definitely a large contrast to filming my film opening, for one, it took Romina and I two days to film everything we needed, and even after that we were still worried whether our shots would be enough to fill the entire song. However, I found the whole creative process to be an incredibly fun experience, as we kept moving from place to place in order to change the scenery and overall make the video more interesting. I especially enjoyed using my own imagination in order fit it with our surroundings. For example, for the performance shots located in Romina's dad's restaurant, we covered the floor with colourful balloons in order to contribute to the young, girly vibe of the song. From this we were able to come up with our own ideas contributing the balloons, such as laying the singer on the ground, surrounding her with balloons and doing a birds eye view shot while she sings into the camera. We were really proud with the result of this particular shot!

  • Reviewing your footage
After reviewing our footage, Romina and I were very pleased with the results and currently have a brief idea of how we're going to piece together each shot to create a story. Before reviewing our footage, we had some worries whether we filmed enough to cover the whole song, however at the moment we are satisfied with the shots we have filmed, and at the moment we're enthusiastic to begin editing. Together, Romina and I feel that we have a variety of shots and angles to work with, and we attempted to keep the overall theme of the song which was bright, bubbly and girly, therefore as a result we are happy with the filming we have achieved.
