Lip Syncing Tutorial
In class we were given the opportunity to learn, first hand, what it's like to lipsync a video, in order to give us the experience to do the same to our own videos. We were all provided with a sheet which gave us simple steps on what to do - for instance finding focal
points in the soundtrack and marking them in order to correctly link them to the artist.
Personally, I believe the thing I found most difficult was placing markers on the wave lengths in order to line them up. However with practice I was eventually able to grasp the concept, and this helped me to connect the artist's lipsyncing to the track. I feel that I learned a lot with this, and I'm really looking forward to doing the same with our own track in the future.

Filming Evaluation
- How did filming go?
Overall I found filming to be an enjoyable yet stressful experience. It was definitely a large contrast to filming my film opening, for one, it took Romina and I two days to film everything we needed, and even after that we were still worried whether our shots would be enough to fill the entire song. However, I found the whole creative process to be an incredibly fun experience, as we kept moving from place to place in order to change the scenery and overall make the video more interesting. I especially enjoyed using my own imagination in order fit it with our surroundings. For example, for the performance shots located in Romina's dad's restaurant, we covered the floor with colourful balloons in order to contribute to the young, girly vibe of the song. From this we were able to come up with our own ideas contributing the balloons, such as laying the singer on the ground, surrounding her with balloons and doing a birds eye view shot while she sings into the camera. We were really proud with the result of this particular shot!

Storyboard & Shotlist
This is mine and Romina's storyboard, which really came in handy during the filming process. Our storyboard included a shot by shot visual image alongside information regarding what will be happening during the shot (for instance audio, what happens in the shot etc.) It was important that we made use of the shot list AND the storyboard, as they certainly both went hand in hand. |
