Re-filming Plan

In order to plan out how and what we were going to re-film, Romina and I decided to do a storyboard to put our ideas on paper. We aim to film this Friday, December 12th.

Filming & Editing Progress

So far Romina and I have had a great time organizing and structuring clips and forming our overall video.
We have completed lip syncing the clips that required it, and we've attempted to edit every shot so that it corresponds with the beat of the soundtrack.
After sitting down and having a small evaluation with our teacher, we came to the conclusion that re-filming will highly benefit us, and in the end we decided that we were aiming to re-film a larger variety of beauty shots of the main singer mouthing to the track. Romina and I also decided that it would be beneficial if we gathered a group of girls who are willing to stand in a room with our singer, jumping around, singing and dancing, in order to convey the message of 'girl power' and friendship conquers all. This idea was inspire by Taylor Swift's video 'Shake it Off', where she stands alongside a group of people dancing and having a great time. We believe this would be a great way to conclude our video.

Props/Styling

PROP/STYLING
WHY?
Sunhat

Romina and I came to the conlusion that we wanted our artist to have a clear brand image – in order to create this we decided to choose an item of clothing/accessory to make it our artist’s trademark. We aim to encourage our artist to play with her sunhat and use it to her advantage. By doing girly poses with it, we can also achieve our given word: Cheeky.

Bubbles

We aim to use multiple shots of our artist blowing bubbles to the camera. We believe that this adds to her fun, youthful disposition, and this could also help us target our intended audience. I also happen to have a toy gun which spews out bubbles, so I think this will be a great asset as it plays on the title of the song, ‘Gun’.
Girly, Colourful Clothing

In terms of styling, we aim to stick to specific colours which we believe will make our artist look more vibrant and flamboyant. Girly colours such as pinks and yellows will allow us to represent our artist as a typical young, girly-girl.
Makeup

We kept in mind that we don’t want to overdo our artist’s makeup (as our target audience are considerable young), however we don’t want her to appear ‘average’ either. We aim to use minimal makeup – taking into consideration her age – however we also aim to use glitter and bright, colourful lipstick shades. This will help us develop our image, whilst stay looking young and fresh.
